La Leche (milk in Spanish) League is a volunteer-run organization to support breastfeeding moms internationally. The leaders are not only highly trained in lactation support, but are also moms who have breastfed their children. Many of these leaders have experienced numerous breastfeeding challenges, and been able to get to the other side of difficulty, to experience a healthy, loving breastfeeding relationship with their children.
If you want to be in a circle of moms who are all overcoming the challenges (we all had *some*, right?) and experiencing the joy and wonderful bonding of breastfeeding their children, attend a LLL meeting! Currently there are Northern Colorado breastfeeding support meetings in Loveland and Fort Collins...visit their websites for the most current details.

There are also Mom's Groups that have a large number of Northern Colorado breastfeeding moms who either breastfeed currently, or who *have* breastfed, and would be willing to offer personal experience. One of those groups is the women who meet at BirthChat, a group run by
The Family Journey.
These meetings share a lot of information about the childbearing year, as well as the challenges and joys of being a parent. Frequently they have local resources sharing expertise about childbirth, breastfeeding, reproductive health, family relationships and more. This group happens to also have attendees who have an abundance of experience in the health realm as well, so if you are looking for a way to get in touch with any holistic health practitioners, this is a great way to do that.
